Summer Solstice Fair Special Edition

As promised here is our Summer Solstice edition blog. We hope you can join us on the 22nd June.

The first thing to say is that we can hold the event mostly inside IF June continues to fail to appear! But we have everything crossed that it will be a great day and we get to see all your lovely faces. So much effort has gone into this event so please do pop along and also spread there word!

There is going to be so much to see and do, so come early and stay late!

Cake competition

Calling all cake bakers. We’re once again running the very successful cake competition and hope all you cake creatives come up with some amazing Summer Solstice ideas. As previously we ask you to donate your cake for sale after the judges have made their decision. All money raised will go to EWCA for keeping the centre running and repair costs.

Rules of entry:

• Age – Any
• Individual or group entry
• Prize – £10 voucher, plus social media bragging rights on the EWCA and Wells Community Centre channels and website (optional).
• Cake entries to be in place on the judging table by 2pm. 
• Cakes will be judged on looks and taste, so your cake will need to be cut on the day.
• We are asking entrants to donate the remainder of their cut cake to EWCA for sale at the Summer Solstice event, with all funds raised going towards the Epsom Wells Community Centre.
• Please provide a full list of ingredients with your cake for allergy sufferers.
• Weather-permitting, this will be an outdoor event with no refrigeration or food preparation space available, so please bear this in mind when creating your cake.
• The winner will be announced once judging is complete  – a name, email and address will be required for the delivery of the prize.
